THE TRAVEL LAB is a travel design service that allows time-poor travel companies to develop extraordinary new travel ideas without the need to spend months on research and development.
Why is that important? The travel industry is under enormous stress to adapt to changing expectations and to avoid some of the problematic issues facing travel, such as overcrowding, swamping of local communities, price-driven competition and the same old itineraries.
THE TRAVEL LAB can develop programs to completion, working with you on concept and itinerary development.
Together, it can provide content and marketing advice to reach a specific Western niche target.
An increasingly large section of the Western market wants travel that allows a deeper experience in specific areas which are of personal interest to them.
Programs that are designed around those interests – music, art, singing, meditation, ecology, Buddhism – can provide both meaningful and successful travel programs.
THE TRAVEL LAB CURATES local and international talent to facilitate specific tours. It is a bespoke style of tourism that appeals to the passions and interests of Western travellers rather than one-size-fits-all itineraries.
The development can produce an industry edge in travel segments that don’t yet exist, but which reflect growing
and prosperous markets.
We develop programs that utilise local artisans, artists, musicians, writers, and photographers to share with the group.
Below are some of the team members who facilitate programs in India and Nepal.

THE TRAVEL LAB has no interest in operating tours under its own banner. It advises, designs and creates media to support the new program.
In many cases, a new program is developed in response to a specific niche market, such as artists or an NGO or writers. We can take a role in researching target groups, preparing video, online content, images and pitches. We research and create itineraries in conjunction with the client.
The content becomes the property of the travel company. The travel company conducts sales and tour operations.
In the initial stages, we might travel as mentors to develop the program on the ground.
How the ongoing collaboration might work on an ongoing basis is negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
